Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Harvard University, with primary interests in econometrics. My research combines economics and data science to understand how to generate and use causal evidence to inform decisions, with a focus on applications to policy design and development economics. I acknowledge support from the National Science Foundation.
Before joining Harvard, I spent a year at Stanford GSB as a post‑doctoral fellow sponsored by Guido Imbens. I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Economics in 2022 at UC San Diego and a Master’s in Data Science in 2017 from Pompeu Fabra.
You can find my CV and my Research page. My email is dviviano@fas.harvard.edu
I am excited to involve students in my research projects. If interested, email me and complete the form: Part time Research Assistant
